I like my FTDX10 but don't use all the features and wish it had better ergonomics, and was a bit cheaper. So the 710 sounds good. At least as good as a 7300. Another difference is the FTdx-10 has CW Decode whereas the FT-710 is missing that feature, if you use it.Dec 11, 2022 · If I were looking to buy today, I certainly think the FT-710 would offer excellent value compared to either the FTDX-10 or the IC-7300. There have been several firmware updates with the FT-710 that have addressed initial release bugs and current pricing would make it a very tempting holiday gift for someone.
