Workaround is to take off the eyewear, save, quit to desktop, then relaunch and put the eyewear back on. In my experience, dying and having the game itself load the quicksave does not cause the issue. Only the quickload function seems to. I stored it in the workshop in workshop mode and now when i want to use, my character keeps just picking it up without activating the menu to chose the point in, i am not using mods or trying the dupe glitch, i just wanted to store it in the workbench for later use.
